He doesn't play small rooms often. The Music Room holds under 200 people, which is exactly the right size for what he does.

Voices of Spring: Mahler 5 Sat, May 30 · 4 PM / Sun, May 31 · 3 PM · Barnstable Performing Arts Center, Hyannis Cape Symphony closes its Masterpiece season with Lili Boulanger, Debussy, and Mahler's Fifth Symphony. Ticketholders get a pre-concert program talk one hour before curtain — worth attending. It changes what you hear.
Twisted 2026 Sat, May 30 · 7:30 PM · Cotuit Center for the Arts, Cotuit Local performers take familiar songs and flip them — inspired by the Broadway Backwards format, Cape-sourced and one night only. Cotuit doesn't do this kind of variety concert often. Go without a plan. It tends to surprise.
Songwriters in the Round Sun, May 31 · 5 PM · Thacher Hall, Yarmouth Port · From $20 Sarah Burrill, Catie Flynn, Jordan Renzi, and Kathleen Healy share original music at one of the better intimate rooms on Route 6A. Four Cape songwriters, one stage, no production. Ticket revenue supports Thacher Hall's arts programming.
The Invincible Casuals + Buttercups + Grandpa + BLUSH! Sun, May 31 · Doors 5 PM · Neptune's, Hyannis · $28 A four-act Sunday bill to close out the weekend. The Invincible Casuals headline with Buttercups, Grandpa, and BLUSH! opening. An actual show, not background noise.
Mozart to Pop Chart Wed, June 3 · 2 PM & 7:30 PM / Thu, June 4 · 2 PM & 7:30 PM · Cape Playhouse, Dennis · From $50 Nat Zegree opens the Cape Playhouse's 2026 season with a theatrical concert tracing music's genealogy from Mozart to contemporary pop — performed, not narrated. The Playhouse hasn't staged a show since fall. Four performances this week. A legitimate season-opener.
Thursday Night Chapters: Lily Mae Harrington Thu, June 4 · 5–8 PM · Chapter House, Yarmouth Port · Free Cape Symphony's free outdoor Thursday series continues with Lily Mae Harrington at the historic Chapter House. Fire pits, food, drinks, yard games, live music on the lawn. One of the genuinely good recurring things about summer on the Cape — runs every Thursday all season.

The Narrow Land Fri, May 29 · 7–9 PM · Cotuit Center for the Arts, Cotuit A film about this place: memory, identity, the mythology of coastal life, housing pressure, and what overtourism actually costs. That's not copy you see on many Cape Cod event listings. Worth ninety minutes of productive discomfort.
COOL Opening Reception + Outside Straight Lines II Opening Reception Sat, May 30 · 3–5 PM · Cotuit Center for the Arts, Cotuit · Free Two exhibitions open simultaneously Saturday afternoon. COOL is Cotuit's open juried show — the many meanings of "cool" from color and attitude to mood and style. Outside Straight Lines II is the Pride-season exhibition celebrating LGBTQ+ artists across Cape Cod. One reception, two shows; walk through both.
El Último Sueño de Frida y Diego Sat, May 30 · 1 PM · Cape Cinema, Dennis The Met's magical-realist opera imagines Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera reunited on the Day of the Dead. It is not a documentary. It is an opera about grief, memory, and unfinished business. Cape Cinema is the right size for it.
A Doll's House Fri, Sat, Sun matinee & Thu evening · Cotuit Center for the Arts: Sigel Black Box, Cotuit Ibsen's Nora and her hidden debt continue in the intimate Black Box through the week — the hidden debt, the marriage, the moment of reckoning. Multiple chances to see it before it closes.
Hyannis HyARTS Artist Shanties Fri–Sun, May 29–31 · 11 AM–4 PM · Bismore Park & Harbor Overlook, Hyannis · Free Twelve artist shanties along Ocean Street, with Cape Cod creatives selling handmade work. Artists rotate weekly, so even if you walked through last weekend, the lineup has changed. A reliable waterfront stop any of the three days.
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) Thu, June 4 · 7:30 PM · Dennis Union Church, Dennis · $37 Eventide opens its 2026 season with the three-person comedy that packs all 37 plays into one irreverent evening on the Route 6A side of Dennis. One of the more reliable laughs in summer theater. A proper season opener.

Birding Crowes Pasture Fri, May 29 · 8–10 AM · Crowes Pasture, East Dennis · Free Naturalists MJ Foti and Dann Jung lead a morning walk through one of the more varied habitats on the Cape — woods, fields, dunes, salt marsh, tidal creek. Dennis Conservation Land Trust. Free. Worth setting an alarm.
Early Bird Walk at Long Pasture Sat, May 30 · 7–9 AM · Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary, Barnstable · From $18 A Mass Audubon naturalist-led morning walk through Long Pasture's trails, wetlands, salt marsh, and beach habitat. Saturday's better start to the day.
In Search of Horseshoe Crabs Sat, May 30 · 4:30–6 PM · Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary, Barnstable · From $14 A low-tide family program on horseshoe crab spawning, biology, tagging, and conservation at Barnstable Harbor. The spawning season is underway on Cape shores right now. Seeing it with a naturalist who can explain what's happening is different from stumbling across it on a beach walk.
eARTh Puppet Party at Fuller Farm Sat, May 30 · 12–3 PM · Fuller Farm, Marstons Mills · Free Help build a leafy crown for a seven-foot parade puppet, then wander the conservation trails at Fuller Farm. It sounds like an odd Saturday afternoon and tends to be a memorable one. Good for all ages.

Slavery and Abolitionism on Cape Cod Tue, June 2 · 4 PM · Jacob Sears Memorial Library, East Dennis · Free Author Michael Pregot discusses his book on the religious views, politics, economics, and social movements that shaped the pre-Civil War era on Cape Cod specifically — not a general survey, local history with local stakes. Worth the drive to East Dennis.

Taste of Barnstable 2026 Thu, June 4 · 5–8 PM · Cape Cod Gateway Airport, Hyannis · $50 Barnstable-area restaurants, caterers, and beverage providers with music from Lemonadio. The airport venue works better as an event space than it sounds. A good Thursday evening to eat your way around the county.
Dennis & Yarmouth Community Health Fair Sat, May 30 · 10 AM–1 PM · Dennis-Yarmouth Intermediate School, South Yarmouth · Free Public Health Nurses offering bone density, Cardio Check, and blood pressure screenings, with local vendors providing free services and resources. A straightforwardly useful Saturday morning stop.

The Art of Style Wed, June 3 · 5:30–7 PM · Atlantic Aviation, Hyannis · $75 Cape Symphony pairs cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, live music, and a fashion presentation by George Brescia. Proceeds support the orchestra and conservatory. An unusual format that works if you like both things.
Dolphin Communication at History on Tap Thu, June 4 · 5–6:30 PM · Cape Cod Maritime Museum, Hyannis · $10 Dr. Laela Sayigh on dolphin vocalizations — signature whistles, what they mean, and the tools scientists use to study them. Craft beer, cheese, and crackers included. One of the better History on Tap topics in a while.
Full Volume: A Poetry Slam Laboratory Mon, June 1 · 6–8 PM · Belonging Books, Hyannis · Free Tamora Israel leads a community workshop for writers curious about slam, storytelling, and spoken word. Belonging Books is one of the genuinely good things on Main Street Hyannis right now.
